Hi, I'm looking for suggestion on a source for momentary push button switch kinda like the one at radio shack but built better. I have found the one from radio shack to be very sensitive to bumps and vibrations. just looking for a source to get some new switch for a remote cam in the old race car. any suggest is greatly appreciated.

    Dakota99 -

There are thousands and thousands of different types of momentary switches that are made, and I'm sure that Radio Shack carries at least dozens and dozens of different types, or did at one time. You'll have to be a bit more specific about what you need before anyone can help you.

Here is an excerpt from an article that might be helpful

    Conclusion:
In the bad old days we used a lot of leaf switches which typically bounced forever.
Weeks, it seemed. Curious I disassembled a number of cheap consumer products
expecting to find these sort of inexpensive devices. None found! Now that everything is
mounted on a PCB vendors use board- mounted switches, which are pretty darn good little
    devices.

ok here what i currently have: Radio Shack

What i'm doing is extending an existing switch (momentary SMT) out side of it encloser. Basically creating a wired remote to the product. I haven't had a problem yet in the car with the radio shack button, but just sitting here on my desk, slide the keyboard drawer in/out or just lightly bumping the desk cause the device to power on. So i'm just trying to find a better switch to use. (note: the connections are solder at the switch and inside the device). again thanks for the suggestion.
