AeroComm - 4790 Transceiver

Ok, I got my 4790-1000 Dev Boards Kit earlier today (http://www.aerocomm.com/rf_transceiver_modules/ac4790_mesh-ready_transceiver.htm). I was able to successfully play w/ it later in the day.· Reading thru the datasheet and the manual, it seems fairly straight forward when it comes to the pin hook ups. The best part is the device takes 3.3V and the signals are also 3.3V. Which makes it that much easier to interface w/ the prop.

I have later in the day took out the 4790 off of one of the devboards. And, am ready to give this a spin.

I was hoping to get some advice on the following:
·1. The device has 20 pins - but, as per my understanding, I will need only need to tap into
····· #1·= Session indicator (low=Yes Session, Hi=No Session) - used for my robot indicator
····· #2 and #3 = Tx (Data input from Prop) and Rx (Data Output to Prop)
····· #5 = VSS
····· #7 = CTS (if LO, device is ready to get data from prop for Tx)
····· #10 = VDD
······#17 = CMD/DATA (in my app, I will always keep this HI to indicate Data vs command). For mdofying the EEPROM,· I will use the devboard to program via my laptop.

····· Q1: this is silly. I am planning on using some sort of plugs or header pins that connect the device to my prop pins (like the ones we use on a servo?). Can someone recommend any pins or headers I can get

······Q2:·Did I get the above pins right?

··2.·Has someone done any work w/ 4790 or other versions. If so, can they provide me some sample code to SEROUT and SERIN for Tx and Rx please.

Thanks in advance
