Destroyed my first SX-28 and pleased.

I just love the SXes. They are so tough.
I mistakenly put 9volts DC to one [pluged in my supply on the regulated side of the power.
It still programed, so I figured I would try it any way [the rated limit is 7 volts DC].
It ran fine for about 6 hours before acting strangely.
Everything else I have would have quit post haste.· I've made similar mistakes with my BS2's and have yet to damage one permanently. [knock on wood]

if you like, please dig down to one of my very first posts in this forum, called "SXploded" - this pictures an SX after the supply pins have been directly connected to a 220V AC outlet

220V !!! Don't you think that is pushing the datasheet a little!
Did it run REALLY fast!!! (i.e. the speed of lightning and sparks)

(un)fortunately, it was not me who applied the 220V AC to the SX - it was one of my customers. You are da..ed right, this must have pushed the datasheet a little! I'm pretty sure that it worked REALLY fast but I assume not over 20 ms
