Getting Information From a Magellen RoadMate

im wondering if its possible to receive data from a magellen roadmate without tearing into the insides of it... im also looking to find a LCD from somthing but im not sure what would have one in it that i can use that has the normal wires and not hundreds of tiny strands going to it

    I would think not. Your best bet would be to pick up a $100 GPS which has an output available externally. The data you probably are looking for is readily available on cheap handheld GPS units, but Roadmates are appliances best left unopened...I have had good results with a Magellan GPS 315, which sells for about $100. There are others...check ebay for used ones, too.
