How fast can I put data out on the USB

Hello!
I'm working on a project wher I'm reding data (real fast upto 1Mb/s) and I think the propeller is a good choise.
But how fast is the USB throuput, currently I using a PIC @ 40MHz, but I get overflow in my buffer now and then so I'm locking for something faster.
Is the Propeller what I need?
