SX48 Proto Switch pos 2 does not apply voltage to servo port

Hello,

I just received my SX48 proto board yesterday. I have replaced my SX tech bd. with it and moved my program to it. The project I'm building uses one servo. However,·switch pos 2 (Vsvo) does not get voltage to servo port on the board. Do I need to do something else to enable voltage to that area? I am probably missing something stupid. Thinking that it could be a fautly switch I tried another board but I get the same results. I could easily hard wire it but it would be a nice feature to be able to trun off the servo. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Hi Jim,

    You'll need to add a jumper on Vdd which is to the right of the servo connection in order utilize the servo ports. If you'll notice there·are three pins to the right labeled Vdd and Vin and the middle pin completes the connection for either Vdd or Vin.· Once you have put the jumper in place you'll notice that postion 2 on the switch will activate the servo ports.

    I'm sorry I should have figured that out. This is a great little board! I figured I was the one at fault. I read the docs but I missed that.

    The idea is that the servos can be fed separate unregulated power. As they can at times be a bit power hungry, they might brown out the SX-48 if they are on the same regulator.

    Thats a great little feature that the SX tech board could use. The adapter I have for this project is 7.5 volts so, for this one I'm powering the servo through the regulator. Milo sends his regards to your pup.
