Hi,

I guess I'll start it here ... and I hope more people can post their ideas to make this a better product too ...

I like the BOE ... except for one primary flaw ... themounting mounting hole in the corner nearest the power-in ... that hole is basically useless because to start building up it cannot be used ... any 4-40 screw with a spacer blocks both the 9V battery connector and the a.c./AA battery pack power plug ...

We need a BOE that has ALL corner mounting holes clear of board components and connectors ...

Also, a few more mounting hole would be really handy too ... probably center at the front and centered on the two sides similar to the back of the board which already has a center mounting hole ...

I'm trying to expand on the basic BoeBot ... Mounting new things above the BOE is required and I want to use very light weight Depron/Zepron type materials ... but the soft plastic requires a solid mounting system to build up upon ...

I have built dozens of BOE-Bots and while it is a tight fit, I don't see it being impossible.· I checked a few where I had standoffs there and the connector bumps it, but it still works.

You could always use a right angle connector to get power to the board, or use a pig tail on the 9V connector to run the battery elsewhere
