I can't provide a video, but I can describe the motion in the commonly seen demo:
    proppapra.jpg

The number in the upper left hand corner counts from 0 to 9, The ring of stars in the upper right hand corner rotate around the ring and rotate around thier individual center points as they rotate. The version I have has a circle of scotty dog sprites (like the Win 3.1 background) rotating around. The blue cross in the center expands towards you, then starts small again. The blue triangles bounce around in strobe fashion, like some screen savers do (I remember Sun's screen saver does this). And when you press the mouse button, snowballs are thrown from the cross in a galaxy spiral's motion.

    Dear Ibsen,

Parallax is stocking the 2.5" NTSC/Pal display. In fact, they're currently being shipped over via air with the rest coming by surface. They'll be in stock shortly - within a week. You can find these on eBay for $35-50, but there's always another $30 of shipping from Hong Kong to get them to you. We'll be selling them at somewhere between $50 and $79, to be determined over the next week. I need to talk to Lauren, Product Marketing Manager to get this squared away.

We've looked at a number of displays from different Asian suppliers and chose this model from Pustom.·Even at $79, I think it's a tremendous value compared to a $40 2x16 Serial LCD.

    Sincerely,

I have used one of these Pustom LCD's before and they are very nice. It worked perfectly right up to the point where I accidently smoked it. Ahh ... the perils of loose wire. <grin>

Here is a captured video of the Propeller demo I just did using a Belkin USB Audio Video adapter connected
directly to the video output of the Propeller Demo Board. The video rendering to MPEG does NOT do this
    demo justice.

This is a little confusing because frame rate is being used for two different things. The prepeller frame rate of 30Hz is the how often the image is sent to the TV to repaint the phosphor screen. Usually this is called refresh rate on PC monitors (typically 60Hz to 80Hz). In PC terminology frame rate usually refers to how often a new image is generated within the computer, and higher resoluiton is slower because it requires more computation. The PC monitor refresh rate is independent of the software update rate

I think you have to use 30Hz for NTSC because TV's can't adjust to different rates wheras PC monitors can sense the refresh rate and adjust to match the video card.

    (heavily edited, hopefully more coherent.)
