L293 L298 L298-H-Bridge help

·also can a TC4424

What one of these it the best h-brigde for the following conditions
·
  1. controlled by a lm555/ne555
  2. h-bridge must control a 6-10v motor(regular kind)
  3. forward reverse
I can get the inputs form my micrphones, light detectors, pressure, level, vibration detector that will be on a series of lm/ne 555 timers

    Those two are nearly similar but the L298 can handle more current. I think the L293 can do 1.2 amps at best with both h-bridges wired in parallel, the 298 at least double that. Do a search on these forums for "L293" or "L298."
