    Beans,
If you have a Basic Stamp module, you'll need to read one of the other books. Although some of the Basic Stamps use SX microcontrollers, they all program with PBasic (free download from Parallax). For the SX book, you'll need to get an SX for your development board.

You will also need an SX-Key for programming/debugging or an SX-Blitz for programming the SX.

I dont think there is a compilated library of routines to use all the features of the PDB, however there are many individual listing of programs to interface most if not all of the subsections of the PDB. Use search.parallax.com and type the name of the component in the search dialog to try to find the appropriate program. If you still cannot find it, I or someone else can try to help you find it.

The StampWorks 2.0 programs use nearly all of the hardware features of the PDB -- the exception is the RJ-11 connector that can be used for 1-Wire or X-10 comms, but I have programs for those if anyone wants them.

Perhaps somewhere on the Parallax "things to do" list could be a PDBWorks publication with an exercise for each section of the PDB.··Assuming that the exercises are written up elsewhere, it could be a cut-and-paste document with a couple notes on how to specifically make the connections on the PDB.· Since the PDB is an integrated unit, perhaps some variations on the existing exercises that combine capabilities would be fun and interesting.· I realize the PDB is geared more toward professionals but this might entice more beginners with some disposable income into a purchase.

    Just my two cents.
