Color video with SX52

Thought I would post an update to my NTSC color GPU.

galaxy.signaldev.com/~cbmeeks/gpu2/256_pixels_160_colors_diag.jpg

I am now up to 256 x 192 pixels with 160 colors (16 colors x 10 luma).

My question is about noise. I don't know if you can tell but I have wavy lines that run UP the display. They are worse when I transition from two different colors.

Any clues as to what might be causing that?

Thanks!

    cbmeeks,
I'm impressed. Very cool. The noise is most likely a 1 cycle error somewhere.
What are you using for RAM ?

    Thanks.

No Ram just yet. Just incrementing color/luma values.

My next move is to draw from register memory....in otherwords, a scanline should fit into local RAM.

Then, I will pull from SRAM.

Right now, I only use 8 pins for the entire video bus so I will have plenty left over from the SX48/52 for parallel RAM. smile.gif
