KHR-1 vs Robonova

Anyone knows the real difference between these robots, is the Robonova worth the extra bucks?

The Robonova can apparently be trained by moving the robot into any position and capturing that position. Anyone has tried it, or has any idea of the value of that?

KHR-1 is made by a Korean company called Kondo, where the Robonova is made by Hitec RCD, and can be bought from Robonova.de.

Go for Hitec definitely the better of the two khondo is expensive and obsolete compared to Hitec, Khondo=big fat ugly pig, Robonova = streamline sexy ferrari

They have a new site for Robonova at this link: http://www.hitecrobotics.com/ it's for us english speeking misfits.·turn.gif

Site is new and lacking content but·in the future it will be better perhaps. They said that it would be released in the·US some time in November. I still have no clue as to how much it is going to·sell for.

1000? not bad considering the quality and features. I like the consept they described where you can manualy move the bot in any pose and the bot can move to that pose. As I understand it, you can move Robonova like gumby and it will create script for you to make it move to the position you set. Very cool...

I'd like to mention that KHR-1 also allows to·capture motion just by means of setting positions by hand·on the actual robot and then capturing. The servos on KHR have·extra commands to read current position and·set motor behaviour. Each motor·has a microcontroller inside that perform these tasks.·

I like the KHR-1 but it is 2x the cost of Robonova. I also like the SONY SDR4x except the wimpy voice they gave it.
