Compass AppMod

Hi, I just installed the Compass (29113) AppMod on my Boe-Bot.
I tried to add on top of it the LCD AppMod. Unfortunately, the metal of the LCD frame has an impact on the Compass function.
Any suggestion?

Thank you,
Luca.

isolation is the best bet. You can construct an extension cable; one end with male, the other with female, and perhaps mount the compass on a dowel. You can experiment with what distance is required.

The compass uses Hall effect switches but you can think of it just as any normal compass as they are all affected by ferrious metals (metals that are
affect by magnets and can be magnetized) The only choice you really have is to move the metal object away from the Compass or move the Compass away from the metal onject.
This is why you will see them very often mounted on their own platforn at the top of the robot.
