Connecting and communicating between 2 Board of Education PCBs

Hi,
··· I'd like to know how I would go about·connecting 2 board of education PCBs·together. I'd like to add another PCB to my Boe-Bot so that one can take care of all the sensor inputs and send information to the second PCB that will control the servo motors. I'm sure this has been done before, I'm just new to all this. I'm assuming I will need a second power source as well. What amount of information will I be able to send and at what transmission rate?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

You could user serial communications to communicate between the two boards -- this is quite common; on becomes a co-processor for the other.

Actually, there's a bit of documentation right in the manual and help file (see SERIN and SEROUT), and perhaps this article will help as well:
