Just wondering any suggestions anyone had for self learning VB in order to use a PC to better utilize the power of a Basic Stamp. (Trying not to get off topic, just seen alot of VB projects hooked up to stamps lately.)

Checkout Jan Axelson's "Serial Port Complete." It goes into serial communications in depth and has a lot of information regarding the use of BASIC Stamps.

Good idea.· And to plant a little VB6 kernel, here is a short
example (with instructions) to start with.· It helps you
get over the beginning 'gotcha's between VB and the BS2.

The folks at rentron have a few tutorials on getting started with the stamp and vb. You can find them here

    Hope it helps!

While not exactly a tutorial, the Stamp Project of the Month compendium and Microcontroller Projects with Basic Stamps (both avaialble from Parallax) both have some VB code in them that talk to Stamps.

In fact, this month's Stamp Project of the Month (http://www.awce.com/som.htm) has VB code that listens to a Stamp.

    Good Luck!
