PWMPal and BS1

Is it OK to use the PWM Pal appMod with the BS1 Rev Dx?· I'm assuming output from the PWMPal would still need to be buffered via Darlington array IC (that's what I'm planning anyway).· Other than the physical hookup, are there any other gotchas on using this combination?

Thanks,
Donivan

Oops RTM, yea. Looks like the BS1 max serial is 2400 BAUD and the PWM PAl's minimum is 9600, so from the docs it looks like it won't work. OK on to plan B...

Consider a PAK-Vc (http://www.awce.com/pak5.htm) which can be set to 2400 baud for just this reason. Also, the PAK-VIII (http://www.awce.com/pak8.htm) can produce PWM with a bit of work and is not baud rate sensitive at all. If you just want 8 channels of 8 bit PWM, stick with the PAK-V. If you want to do some other things (for example, drive servos) the PAK-VIII might be the ticket.
