I just got two BS2s on ebay, one on a carrier board and one on an experiment board. I can't get either one off its board. Is there some trick to it, or do I just have to pull harder? I don't want to damage the Stamps.

Also, I can't find documentation for the experiment board·that I·got. It's called the·"Stamp Experiment Board", product #27900 in the·November 1995 Parallax·catalog. Does anyone know where I can get documentation?

(Please forgive me if I'm asking stupid questions. I'm new to·using BASIC Stamps.)

    Hi,

This is the Parallax website with lots of information for the BS2 and the other Stamps:

Why do you want to take out the Stamps? If they work you can just leave them in the boards.

A very small flat screwdriver is great for prying up chips from sockets. Edsyn actually makes a proper tool for this that is antistatic and nice. Use the blade of the screwdriver to work under one short edge and pry gently up. Then slide the screwdriver under the chip and apply pressure as evenly to the whole length of the chip as possible. With a little practice it is easy. Be careful though. Things like the Javelin Stamp may have parts on the back side which would make this less of a good idea.
