I'll repeat the question.
Is 74HCxxx the best logic family for BasicStamps?
I am thinking of trying to use some logic to use three stamp pins as binary code to address 8 devices with a single enable to each, but I am a little unsure of what all the trade offs are (i.e., power use, voltage levels for 0 and 1 logic, speed, sensitivity to static, easily available to purchase).
