Control panels in movies

Maybe it's just me, but the second time I see a movie, I'm mostly looking for control panel inspiration.
Can't wait to see Project Hail Mary again, definitely want to "borrow" some ideas from that...

I'd long thought it would be fun to start a company making devices for movies (since I didn't manage to get that job at Industrial Light and Magic in the mid '80s)... I'd call them "plot devices" . ya know, a twist of red and green wires behind a 7-segment display countdown clock.
Last summer I got invited down to Disneyland for a visit because I helped them with some BASIC Stamp (yes, BASIC Stamp) and Propeller code for the Haunted Mansion "Nightmare Before Christmas" overlay. After a trip through the Mansion to see my code in action I spent most of the day in Galaxy's edge taking lots of photos of panels and other tchotchkes. Someone noticed me holding a dollar bill up to a panel for a photo and asked what I was doing. When I replied, "Size reference" they shrugged and walked a way. Still on my "to do" list is to master Blender and those photos are just waiting to be used in my 3d modeling experiments.
