Is Propeller BOE a replacement for Propeller Activity Board WX?

One of the mystery boxes I ordered had a Propeller BOE (32900 Rev B). I have the parts to build an ActivityBot 360. My question is: will the Parallax Feedback 360° High Speed Servos (#900-00360) work or do I need the Parallax continuous rotation servos (#900-00008)?

You can connect the feedback servo to any Propeller board; especially BOE which has the handy 3-pin servo headers. Instructions would be the same as for the Propeller Activity Board WX.

The BOE has those VIN / 5V jumper shunts beside the servo headers. (Just like the WX board). If your servo could benefit from a little more power, you could move the jumper to the VIN position and use a 7.5VDC mains adapter to power your BOE, instead of just 5V.

Also beware... that powering your board with a 9V battery won't last very long once you start moving servos; probably best to avoid that potential for high battery cost and waste! If you have the 5-cell AA battery holder that came with the activity bot, that would be fine. Fill it with rechargeable NiMh cells or AA 1.5V cells, and plug right into the BOE board DC jack. OR... especially for testing/programming, sit the robot on some blocks to stop it driving away, and use a mains adapter instead of batteries.
