Tower Pro Servo Question

Hi All...
For a project I'm starting, I picked up a 10-pack of Tower Pro MG996R servos. I made the choice because of the metal gears and "claimed" high torque. So far they work okay, but they seem quite a bit noisier than the Parallax models. I'm guessing this is because of the metal gears. Anyone who used or is using these servos have any information?

Howdy,
I am attempting to use the mg996r on a wx board. Connected them like the Parallax servos.
Got a 1/4 turn then stopped.
Did you have any issues getting them to work.
Was that on a P1? or the Basic stamp.
