Edit: Sorry, just had a vision of this robot leaning in a door-frame, preferably the kitchen door and talking and talking and talking. It certainly must also have the ability to hold a glass of beer.... :-)
Humanoid robot; singing, dancing, cooking, cleaning, minding the kids and also able to build more robots
Mechanics are.... different
I have these days stumbled over his blog at Arduino.cc, where he is active. I think, that he has ruled out gears too early. Perhaps he should use guitar tuners as winches....
Well I repeat myself, I found it really funny here: A small typo and something nobody can really do changes to a project, that is possible and fun!
A game changer.

Backlash and won't last two minutes...not to mention the thread. Even high-end worm-reducers are only 40% efficient.
The whole concept is a joke. He has no knowledge-of nor concern-for feedback systems. He'll "think about it later" but he's not worried because Windows-7 will handle everything

Against what do you plan the robot to lean?

Yes I've been active there but also on this forum on my original thread. It's not bumping though for some reason. Was hoping a mod would eventually fix this issue for me. https://forums.parallax.com/discussion/176010/my-advanced-realistic-humanoid-robots-project/p3
The thread indicates my last post on that thread was oct 2024 but I've posted dozens of times in it including in dec of 2025 multiple times.
@artbyrobot
So how many Parallax products are you using?
