Panoramic images with ChatGPT (not)

Paid for ChatGPT pro with the hope making 1920x100 pixel background images for the raycast game.
But, see now this is hopeless... Only really wants to do squarish images.

See that Claude is included in Pro though, so maybe will try that one day.

Google AI is saying that Midjourney can do it. Guess will try that...

Just go on Blender and give a plane some displacement, it's not that hard and gives you full control over the result (and also I won't personally flame you for using it)

E.g. I made this here some evening when I was bored. It's a NASA heightmap of some mountains in Japan + some basic shader stuff. I could totally render out a panoramic version etc. (ask for the blend file if you want it)

@Wuerfel_21 Interesting idea... Used to use PovRay too, that could probably work.

But, getting some close to OK things out of Midjourney.
Key is to add special code "--ar 19:1" to end of request...

Hmm... Seems one can't upload files in this category?

I used PovRay back in the 90s to create fun wallpapers in the early days of Windows.

I've done a few Blender tutorials where the suggestion is to import an HDRI -- is this what you're wanting to do? Have you tried places like polyhaven.com?
