I have two SX Keys, some SX chips and a few SX boards. Anyone want to make me an offer for them that doesn't have a minus sign in front of it?
Edit: I'll try to find time to put together a list of what I have over the next few days. I guess this message is a bit too vague. I also have to figure out how much I want for this stuff. Anybody have any idea how much SX parts are worth these days? My chips are the SX28 version in a PDIP.
I think I finally decided it was a waste of time learning a micro controller that is no longer in production. I bought the extra SX chips to go with my XGameStation Pico kit but I've found that I don't really have time to work with that either.

'OK , you want them for free? '
Okay.My first offer is willing to pay for shipping.
Will listen to counter offer.
What kind do you have and what condition are they in?
Publison
Do you have one for yourself?
Do you know how to program the SX?
Ubicom Scenix Sx uses a subset of the PIC 16F5xx instruction set.
So it's a PIC clone.
I don't get this Parallax avoiding PIC's thing.
It must be if you use a PIC for a product and it's successful
Microchip comes after you for royalties.
Intellectual property or something like that.
It can't be the cost of the chips.
The old PIC's they make Basic Stamps from are up to $5 but
that is because they don't get made in quantity anymore.
Most other PIC's are around $2 or less.
Some are in the 50 cents to 80 cent price range.
Go to the SX-Key page:

and go to the downloads and documentation link. There is tons of information there.
Mr Betz
Yep. We'll take 'em.
Sent you a PM.
Thank you Publison!
We have a SX tech board.
Downloaded SX Editor, SX Manual and Learning Assembler With SX.
Sort of all set but no programmer.

Mr Betz
Actually take me out of the running please.
Really just looking for a SX Blitz.
Something minimal.
Parallax SX Key is a very well made piece of hardware but just not for me.
Parallax does do good work.
Thread solved.
Have other projects with a little higher priority than this.
Mr Betz
Current project is getting a 'Brand X' microprocessor to program consistently.
One or two things to check when a Basic Stamp won't program are nothing compared to this.
The people that make the compiler aren't helping either.
They keep making it bigger and bigger.
'Hey stupid! Get what you have working correctly before adding features!'

Mr Betz
Sent you a PM. Sort of simplify things for both of us.
Yes. Iconstructix SX Key is actually made from scratch by them.
According to them a better version follow up to the Parallax one.
Exactly the same product. Notice is says Parallax on the Iconstructix site. It was actually developed by a third party, (Gunther).
Thank you Publison and Mr Betz
I am just going by what somebody at Iconstructix told me on the phone.
They said it was different.
If it will program SX devices that will work for us.
SX is a side project here. Hobby thing. We do not have any customers that need these programmed.
I myself would be happy with a SX Blitz. Put this thing to rest.
