I found a double-sided proto proto board from all electronics that fits nicely over the DE0-Nano with 2 40 pin headers, I wired up the prop-plug and now playing with the P2 FPGA

If we still had the trace instruction, I'd rebuild my front panel

on one of the boards you found.
