Is the basic stamp editor compatible with Windows 8? Are there communications issues with the board?

    No issues, Win 8 and 8.1 work fine with the editor. I had a compatibility issue with one of my usb-serial adapters (Aten brand) but the Parallax-approved ftdi adapter works perfectly.
