  I tuyed eagle but it was not going to work do to Licensing issues of 700+$ was a bit high ...
  
  but $195 for the Osmond SW is doable. My goal was under $200
  
  and the osmond seems simple enough for a non cad proficient user ..

  I etch by the toner transfer method so its a snap to make small PCBs ..
  No more Sharpy and a straight edge !

  If you can use a Windows machine, but not install software, you can try with tynicad and freepcb from a USB pen.
  
  Get the latest tinycad beta (2.70.00), it works pretty well. Moreover both should work under wine too.
