How to Clear Unsolved to Solved

Need some help. I'm new to this site and I asked a question yesterday and got a quick response that basically solved my problem. In turn I thanked the responder and the case was (I thought) closed. However, today when I logged in the question I posed was still posted as unsoved in red. How can I get rid of this flag as members are still responding and I don't want to waste anyone's time.     You need to edit the first post of the thread and choose "Go Advanced". You'll then have a drop down menu from which you can choose "Solved".
