Need to test SimpleIDE with Qt5 first since that seems to be a prerequisite for QtonPi.
I don't have a Rasberry Pi, so someone else will have to test that.
No need for QtonPi. There is a Qt 4 in Debian for the Pi. Probably better to use Raspian though. That is Debian rebuilt with optimizations for the Pi boards ARM 6 CPU.
As it happens I started the first steps at this on Friday by kicking of a compilation of propgcc on the Pi.
The first attempt failed for the lack of flex/bison.
After installing those I set off the propgcc build again. 6 hours later it was still churning away and I left it to go home for the weekend. We will see tomorrow if it completed.
