Honey Bees returning?

Today I saw three honey bees on the russian sage in the garden. This is the first time in several (5?) years I recall having seen more than 1 honey bee at a time. Also, there were only three bumble bees, so this is the also the first time in the same span that honey bees equaled bumble bees. Honey bees used to outnumber bumble bees 10 to 1 at least.

Has anybody else noticed recent changes pointing to bee population recovery?

Or are bumblebees masquerading as honeybees?

Identi-bee theft, security has been compromised!

We've had a huge honeybee showing this year. I attributed this partly to the massive amounts of clover growing in our yard this summer and the lack of cold weather this past winter. We really didn't have any freezing temps in SC. I've used the honeybees as an excuse to not mow the yard several times already so the clover flowers will be available still. :D

Has anybody heard any news or progress on Colony Collapse Disorder? I didn't see any yet.

I thought neo-nicitinoids were strongly implicated (amongst other stressors) - if I remember rightly.

Three bees congregating? Doesn't that constitute a riot now?

    Hope they are not Africanized.
