Hello there,

Recently I'm eyeing on the Rigol 1052 oscilloscope, which many seemed to buy them.

You think it's worth a buy? I'm gonna buy one because I know a local distributor who sells them with warranty.

Opinions are welcome. :D

    John,

you might get a better response to your question if you change your title to include a more detailed description of what you're asking opinions on, plus the O-scope name. Titles like "Before I used my credit card..." aren't going to get nearly as much attention as "Opinions needed on buying a Rigol 1052 oscilloscope" for example, etc.

To change your title, click on Edit Post, then click on Go Advanced.

    Good luck.

Sorry if the title isn't clear enough. I shouldn't write in a casual banter. Hang on, I change the title. :)

You might want to reality check that against something like
    http://www.uni-trend.com/UTD2102CEL.html

Also sold under other labels, & colours on eBay, but this has a 7" LCD screen iIRC at 800x480, so that's a LOT more resolution.

I also like the Frequency Counter 6 digits frequency counter

but that's because one of my pet peeves with Digital Scopes has been "all that silicon, and no one thought to include a half-decent frequency counter ?!"

    Hey there,

I've seen those oscilloscopes, they are cheap and great, but they are not in my local distributor (I'm in SE Asia). Saelig doesn't ship overseas, and the shipping could be very expensive. :D

I believe the DS1052E has been officially discontinued. Most places are now selling the DS1102E at the same price point, as you can see at the link in Mike Cook's post above. Keep this in mind, maybe you can bargain for a lower price.
