  Just buy longer ones and cut them to size. I just have to keep the one length in stock by doing that.

  Why Digikey? Are you needing the specific brand they sell? A specialty source is cheaper, and has more variety. Here's a good one in SoCal, though they do mail order, too:

  16 position female is only 47 cents. Says gold plated, but you know there's a wide variance in plating quality now, with gold >$1600 an ounce.
  
  They also have "snappable" headers (in my experience they never look as good) but they're more expensive. It's cheaper to get an assortment of lengths and use what you need. Even if half your stock is never used it's still cheaper. If you need to keep stock levels low you can gang them: 1x2, 1x3 1x5, and 1x8 should be good for most any length you need.
  
  On edit: I see you're in Belgium. You might still get a better price even with shipping by going to a specialty source. I guess you won't avoid VAT if they collect it on import. But what would be for anywhere you buy these, I suppose.
