  Got a link? It's been awhile since I've visited AS&S and I can't seem to find them. I just paid Sparkfun $15 for a nearly identical display.

  $5 gets you a serial-parallel LCD adapter kit for use with a typical HD44780-type LCD at http://www.phanderson.com/lcd106/lcd107.html

  BTW, I didn't find the displays in my brief visit to ASAS, but you can get them all day long from Ebay China for ~$3, free ship.

  I bought two of Paul's adapter kits. They're a great value and easy to use.

  I just bought 3 adapters, haven't used them yet. IIRC, it's Peter Anderson. He's the modern-day Forest Mims with his hand-drawn schematics: http://www.phanderson.com/lcd106/lcd117.pdf

  Oops. Right you are Erco. I must have had a brain cramp and munged him with Paul Badger of Modern Device who sells a pcb for Peter's kit.
  
  In any event, that kit is used in my CBA robot videos and works well with a BS2 robot to conserve pins.

  I'm always a little late to the party. I just got my phanderson serial adapters to use with some LCDs I've had tucked away for a few years. But now they say OLED is the new LCD and once you try it, you never go back. But I'll stick with my vintage LCDs for now.

  I'm late to the OLED party too. All I'm looking for is some visibility into program flow control and sensor status. An LCD does that better than status LED's and tones like we use with Scribbler, so I'm more than happy with them.

  I tried them and DID go back to LCD. The OLED suffered horrible image burn-in. Maybe that's been fixed by now, but watch out.
