Someone just answered my question perfectly.
How do I mark a thread solved? (I started it)
I can't seem to find a "help for the message board mechanics" on the page

    John,

    Edit your original post. Choose "Go Advanced". You should have a little window with "Unsolved" and "Solved". Select "Solved".
