Micro SD adapter compatible with BS2?

  Basic Stamps don't have the computational ooomph to read a SD card file system. For that you need a Propeller.

  Hypothetically speaking, what about a PIC, like a 16F628? What's the "umph" that's lacking? Speed, variable space, program size?

  Ah, I think I have it.... is it the block size? It looks like micro SD requires the whole block to be written at once, which looks to be 512 bytes. So is that why the BS isn't compatible?
