    I once had trouble transferring an inherited IRA account from my dad's bank to an investment bank - more choice of investments there. (Once a bank gets a hold of a nickel, they want to keep it!)

    After two months of trying to pry the funds out of the bank's fingers, I had an idea... The FDIC insures depositors against bank failures... And they have claim forms to which can be completed and submitted so you can get the money a failed bank had in your account...

    So I took one of those claim forms into the bank, then suggested that since the bank was having trouble transferring my funds, that the bank might not have the money... And perhaps I should file the FDIC claim form? Also give a copy to the local media?

    Suddenly they were able to transfer the funds...

    I hope you are wrong about this it will be a very very said in this country if our rights to do this are taken away
