Sharp GP2D12 & BS2

I intend to use a LTC1298 A/D converter with the Sharp GP2D12 distance sensor. Can I communicate two GP2D12 sensors through 1 LTC1298? Or, do I need one A/D for each sensor. If I can get by with one A/D is there documentation someone can point me to for guidance. The only information I've found is one GP2D12 through one LTC1298. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

The LTC1298 is a two-channel device, so yes, you can connect to GP2D12 sensors to it. You just need to look at the LTC1298 docs to get the information required for selecting the second channel.

Good rule of thumb: Download and read all docs for any part you intend to use.

I found a "Stamp Applications" column that use the LTC1298:
