Image Transmission

Jus' wondering... can the X-Bee transmit images reliably? Just single images and speed wouldn't be a big concern. Something like a 320x140 .jpg file.
No specific project in mind. More like a "Gee, I wonder?" sort of thing.

Thanks!

320 x 140 pixels is about 45K pixels. Uncompressed with 24 bits per pixel, that's 135K. Compressed could be a lot smaller, but still likely in the tens of kilobytes. The xBee is reliable ... it uses error checking and retransmission to make sure the data is transferred correctly. Under noisy or other poor signal conditions, that increases the time it takes to transmit data.

Short answer ... yes, it's reliable with built-in error checking and retransmission if necessary which will slow things down somewhat.
Caveat ... images contain more data than you think.
