Hi.
I'm making an AC adapter tester. Laptop adapters to be specific.
The adapters are rated at 10vdc 2.8 amps.
The yellow graphics are the female adapter connectors.
Vcc0 is the power source for the SX chip and the bank of LEDs connected to Ra0-3 and Rb0-3.
Vcc1 - Vcc8 are the adapters under test.
The plan is to connected 8 adapters to the unit. The lower LEDs will show that the adapter is at least putting out power.
Then pressing the start button (not shown, Rb5) will turn on the PMOSfets one at a time allowing the adapter to pull a load of an amp or so. Not sure what the load device will be at the moment.
Say unit one(vcc1) is under test. Rb4 will make a measurement and light up the LED at Ra0 if the measurement is correct.
The LM is the same used on the SX Tech board.
Notice the question mark on the measurement device.
Any suggestions on what I could measure and what type of device to make the measurement with?
Does the circuit seem safe to you?.
Any suggestions?
Edit:
Made with CorelDraw. May be some layout errors.

Perfection in design is not achieved when there is nothing left to add.
It is achieved when there is nothing left to take away.
