BOE serial problems

Hi All
I solved this one so this is for info only.
My BOE started acting up, it would accept a program then·a··minute later it wouldnt.
The familiar message··"can't find stamp check cable etc"
I would close the editor down, restart·and it would work once then quit.
The computer is on one desk with the BOE across the room on another so I often disconnect to avoid
tripping on the cable.
The studs holding the DB9 connector onto the BOE were loose causing the unpredictable behavior.
Conclusion: Follow the instruction - check the cable and connections first.
