Need help finding previous post/topic.

I found a topic about a month ago and book markerd it. My puter however has since dl'd XP Service pack 2 which caused my system to crach and I can no longer find the information that I need.
The topic that I was looking for is using a stamp to read measurements. The topic had a link out to a site that already has the coding availible for this operation as even sales a kit. I think the kit was called a Pax2 or Pak2 something along those lines. The idea behind this kit was to use a computer mouse to measure distance and retro fit the mouse to a lathe, mill or any other device to fairly precise measurements.
Any help find this topic would be greatly appreaciated. I am really looking forward to trying this project out on my lathe and mill. I have already purchased a old PC to handle the Debug screen for both machines. I simply need the link now so I can get the appropiate kits to complete the project.
