Try http://www.laipac.com they have a Tx for $4.80 and Rx for $4.80.
Poke around the site a bit - they deal other stuff too. You are
looking for TWS434 & RWS434 units.

and try Lemos International [sales@l... 508-798-5004]

Look in your DigiKey catalog also...

As to how you will communicate with the stamp there are lots of
ways - and types of modulation schemes.

You likely would want to use r/c model servos and will need to
learn how these work too.

You've taken on a big project - hopefully you can find help in
a local hobby store. Good luck with your learning/teaching!

Just for the record, they are selling the Wen Shing RF boards, which were
available about 2 years ago, and then disappeared. LAIPAC is the worldwide
distributor, and offers quantity pricing as well. They also offer tuned
antennas for the boards. I would be happy to copy anyone who wishes (or the
list as a whole) with the response I received from them today.

I wonder... Has anyone actually used these boards? If so,
is there any code available to implement them?

I noticed that these boards are VERRRY inexpensive.
I also noticed from the data sheet that there's a 'code in'
line on the transmitter.

I've always been tempted to play with these. I believe Tech America -- oops,
Radio Shack -- has them for about $10 each.

I didn't see a way to order from laipac and I bet you'll find a minimum
order or some other business where the $10 versus $5 isn't going to be a big
difference.

Hey Group:

For what it's worth, Laipac is almost in my back yard. I called them this
morning
and visited them this afternoon. Picked up one each of the 434 Rx and Tx units.
Diego is a helpful guy and provided additional information, as well as answering
my questions (there are a couple of minor boo-boos in the data sheet).

Will advise how the hardware investigation turns out.

Best...Don

We have these RF modules in-stock with schematics showing
how to use them at: http://www.rentron.com/rf_remote_control.htm

We tested them at over 300 foot outdoors, and they work very well.
