Download to BS2SX-IC with STAMPW 1.091b

Hello stampers,
Sometimes users reported from difficulties with download from
STAMPW 1.091. With "RUN" often getting the errror-message
"BASIC Stamp II detected but not responding on COM..
Check power supply !"
and two followed error windows.
The users test their correct power supply again and again...
and some of them returned to the DOS-based successful working
program STAMP2SX.EXE. I use a "pin to pin" serial cable and bridged
RTS-CTS-DSR on my device. No difficulties with WIN 95. Also no
problems with download to BASIC Stamp II using WIN 98.
But this error-message allways comes with WIN 98 and BS2SX-IC
with my correct tokenised programs, also after recognising
BS2SX-IC in the alligned step before.... .
What to do ? I found : Including the directive '{$STAMP2SX}
(for bank0-loading] is the way for correct downloading.
Insert this line on any line in Your program ! I prefare the
first, in tradition of programmers.
My interest is to hear from experience other users. Some cases
for no success, based problems with PC - port opening ?
I never heared from this possibility with the directive to avoid
downloading problems. Excuse, if it is not an new idea,
an "old snow" ? I don't see from web or books before !
But I hopeful guess , it's a useful hint to start correct download
