Hello awl: Since I started the topic of Robot discussion I thought you all
may wish to know about the KayBee toys Mars rover that can be converted.
They are now selling the 6 wheeled rover for $8.95 that is driven but non
steerable. I removed the motor and drivegears and installed a Mondotronics
dual motor drive system($21) The inside of the toy rover has a 4 AA cell
battery bay as well,plus plenty of internal room for electronics.The unit is
very gutsy and will climb over anything until it tips over backwards.This is
as far as I have gotten so far,I plan on driving it from a stamp II of
course. If anyone wants modifcation help,please write me and I will send
some tips and photos of my conversion.
