Propeller C - Start Simple :Variables and Math

Good Evening,
I am new to the Parallax world and trying to go through the tutorial in (Propeller C- start simple), I have a question about the Variable and Math page; in the "your turn" section the assignment says (Try declaring int variables of y, m, and b, and then use them to calculate and display y = m*x + b) , does that mean I chose the variables for y, m, b and solve for x=(y-b)/m? or is it supposed to be (declaring int variables of x,m,and b and then use them to calculate and display y =m*x +b)? .
