Problems with PMB-648 GPS

I have a arduino one one paralax 644 GPS card have it connected as follows : yellow pin on input 2 of the arduino and their respective 5v and ground
the code is as follows

the serial data monitor throws me like this

I'm pretty sure the PMB-648 default baud rate is 9600. Don't know enough about Arduino to know what else may be wrong.
Do you know about GPS sentences?
Edit. I misspoke myself when I said the default baud rate was 9600. Sorry, 4800 is correct.
i tested with that code but the serial monitor goes blank
