Annual Holiday Giveaway

Last year we had a great Holiday Giveaway thread started by James Long. I PM'd him to see if he wanted to get it started again, but he has been off the Radar Screen for a while, and no reply. I thought I would start it up a little earlier so you have time to rummage for "Parts you can part with" .

Last years thread:

http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?118449-Holiday-Give-Away-!!&highlight=Holiday

As last year, the shipping of all items are the responsibility of the person offering the gift. I had no problem sending about 10 gifts last year, because the contents was small and I received some GREAT stuff in return!!

Please try and include items that you can contribute. It is not mandatory, but you can get rid of some stuff that you meant to get rid of. (No resistors, I have a bunch:)

Try to keep the products to electronics that would be useful in these forums.

That said I offer the following, (more to follow, I'm still unpacking ):

1 - PRGPAL #28025 Piezo Resistive Gage

2 - PRGPAL #28025 Piezo Resistive Gage

3 - USB Servo Controller #28823 Sent to kf4ixm

4 - BOE-BOT Wheels and Tires #28104 Sent to logan996

5 - XPRO X-10 Model PSC04 Powerline Interface

6 - Transceiver Module 433 MHz #27988 Sent to electrosys

7 - Transmitter Module 433 MHz #27986 Sent to electrosys

8 - Transmitter Module 433 MHz #27986 Sent to electrosys

9 - Quadravox QV430P Module

Let the gifting and swapping begin!

And if someone wants to swap a 2012 Boss 302 Mustang for all three of my Hovercrafts, I'm all ears.

Happy Holidays,

Jim

They fit the spline pattern for a Futaba Servo. If that's what you have, then it's your's. PM me your address. Try to find something in your junk box to put up.

    Happy Holidays,

I am going to see, what I can find in my junk box, I hope I could find something useful for Holiday Giveaway,
and I would like to try the Transceiver Module 433 MHz.
Thank you for the great idea.

If you have a request for a certain item, Private Message (PM) the gifter with your address. Then they can cross that item off the list (post).

    Happy Holidays!

The transceiver will probably only work with the transmitters #27986, so I'm going to combine all into one lot.

    Happy Holidays

So this is somewhat akin to a traditional "HAM swap meeting".

I'd be willing to offer trades with anyone located in Taiwan. But I think I am a solo. Send me a PM if I am wrong.

I have 2 TI 5940 (LED controller) chips that are looking for a good home...

These were TI samples (thank you TI, but they didn't fit my needs) so I don't expect anything in return for these... Please PM, first U.S. requestor gets them.

My (unusual) wish list: a few feet (10?) of green, 22awg, solid core hookup wire. I lost my bundle (my mind, too, but that's ok). RS wants $8 for it in a set (and I don't need that much). If someone has some that they want to swap, send me a PM with what you need and maybe we can work out something - LEDs, caps?

Happy Holidays! This is my first "Parallax" Christmas, and I would like to thank Parallax, the many forum members, and obex contributors that have helped so much during the past year!

Oh... and my wish list for next year... The release of the Propeller 2!

Send me a PM. I have green solid wire. Should be cheap to send a few feet.

I just bought 6 - TI5940's to try out next year. Save them for someone else.

Would your servos be good for say a dremel sized desktop cnc pcb mill?

People wanting to receive an item posted on this thread should respond to this thread, not a PM.

It makes it a lot easier, as it's more apparent to other viewers, when the item is not available.

Any one else have junk in the attic or garage to offer?

    Yes Hover, I do.

A very quick look in the giveaway box shows two unopened SanDisk 256Mb Memory Stick PRO Duo (they are on the top).

Unfortunately (until sometime after the 20th - holidays Hooray) this is all I can offer plus the laser ink cartridges in the classified section.

Now postage can be expensive from Oz. So depending on the $, I _might_ ask for 50% of the shipping costs....

I've not worked with Servo's nor Stepper motors on the Prop - so if someone wanted to send some my way I would be very appreciative. And If you wanted to hit me for 50% of _your_ shipping costs then I wouldn't complain.

    Cheers

Are you offering the 360 controller up? If so, does it work? Id like that. have some robotics control project that needs one.

Checking my "giveaway" pile. I'll post my offer later.

I'll offer a Gadget Gangster Mono LCD breakout board and LCD. The LCD has a few lines missing, but it still works fine for most purposes. I also have a few hundred LEDs... If you want some I'll just guesstimate (the roughest version of an estimate) a scoop of about 100 out of the bag. If I find anything else I'll post.

I have a Sony VIAO, older laptop...
It boots... battery is shot, but I have th as adpter, floppy drive insert.
    I think it's 64meg and a 20 gig HD... if anything I've understated what it's got.

I'm searching for a bot or the stuff to assemble one...
I need the hardware, servos, batteries, charger and maybe a dedicated 'troller stamp / prop board for it...

Or steppers and their drivers to make a W,X,Y,Z CNC router / 3D probe..
