Can the Hydra accept the snes gamepad?

Hi,
I was wondering, since the "super" nes gamepad is shifting out 16 bits serially (and the regular nes gamepad·sends 8 bits)·could·the snes pad·work with the Hydra without making any changes in the Propeller firmware?
I haven't received the unit yet, but·I was·assuming that the gameports are ready to plug and play with the demos, out of the box. (Or does all of this (setting up the ports)·have to be programmed first?)
Thanks,
Tony

Yes you can connect a snes pad, it has nothing to do with the propeller firmeware.
You only need a new driver for it^^
Here you can find a driver for it:

(NES Controller Object, there is a snes-pad-driver too)
