BASIC Stamp 2 OEM Module

Hello
Some question about the BASIC Stamp 2 OEM Module (Assembled).
I noticed that the "BASIC Stamp 2 OEM Module (Assembled)"
doesn't have any mounting holes.
What are some recommended mounting styles ?
also not knowing that much.
Can the pin outs on this module connect to a ribbon type cable?
One last question i noticed the memory module can be exchanged.
Is it as painless as it looks to increase Logged Data space ?
thanks

One way is to use velcro or double face tape. I have had a lot of success by drilling out the two holes on the DB9 Connector that mount to the board.
The pinouts are based on a standard .1" center... you can use a header or solder wires directly.
The memory module is easily exchanged (as is the pre-programmed PIC), but not interchangeable with other chips. That is, if your memory chip is damaged, you can easily replace it, but you can only replace it with the exact same part... you can't just excahnge it a larger size memory chip to add memory... it doesn't work that way.

If not, and you want more space for logging data, then I'd suggest you go straight to the BS2pe as it has been built specifically for logging operations. (You'll probably need some sort of carrier board, though)
Also, while it is possible to 'bit-bang' I2C on all BS2s, the BS2p and later models all have I2C commands built-in, so there's no problem in adding as many EEPROMs as you like.
