i am going to use GPS module, however there is two type of output
level within 3.6~6V; One is LVC(cmos output), the other is LVS(true
RS232 output). What output level is compatible with Basic stamp 2p?

input. Are you sure both LVC and LVS are between 3.6-6V? I would think that
if LVS is a "true RS232 output" the 1's would be a negative voltage. If
you're not absolutely sure, avoid LVS. You're just about always safe with
CMOS inputs, so go with LVC.
BTW, you don't want your input voltage going over Vcc... (6V max, you
said?). It probably won't hurt anything, because the Stamp does have voltage
clamping diodes, but I wouldn't push it. Put a resistor in the serial line.
